Happy 4th of July!

Scott and I were in the city for the July 4th festivities yesterday and we had a great day! There were MILLIONS of people downtown for the Taste of Chicago (tons of restaurants set up booths so you can walk around and try different foods) and then just in general for the fireworks. We had watched fireworks the night before out in Burlington with Scott's mom and family. So last night we ventured down to make our way through the waves of people. We ate some food then got to see a free John Mayer concert (which I particularly loved, Scott wasn't so excited about). Then we thought we'd walk a few miles along the lake to Navy Pier for the fireworks, but we didn't end up staying (too many people!) I regret not taking pictures at the Taste or the John Mayer concert. Here are a few pics we took on our way out from Navy Pier (this is for you Makenna!!)

I'm really not good at taking our picture. Apparently I can't smile, look photogenic, and take a picture all at the same time. I always have this weird neck thing going on. THIS is why I don't take the pictures Alissa!! ;)

I felt like such a tourist taking these pictures!!

Nick and I have always wanted to go to the Taste, but we are afraid of the crowds...Someday we'll venture there. AWESOME that you got to see John Mayer, and even more AWESOME that you got to see him for FREE!!! Marisa and I saw him in Omaha in March, he is SO good!! I have some pictures from that concert on my myspace page you should check out, I also just posted some new pictures from our little fireworks show!! :) Have a good weekend!

Ha, I guess Scott does do a better job taking the pictures:) Keep doing what you're doing Scott!

Weren't you guys stinkin hot!! Did I come up last year about this time? I think I remember wanting to walk from each air conditioned building to the next. Which involved the movie theater one afternoon;)

Thanks for the update. I love your new bikes, but it was time for a change of pace!
